It is not possible to create your “BioStory” without evaluating your history, diet, physiology, biochemistry and genome. Understanding how you methylate, oxidize, metabolize blood sugar as well as your hormone status, genetic susceptibilities and toxic exposures are critical in this effort. The only way to do this is to test your blood, saliva, stool and sometimes urine. We spent more than six months evaluating and meeting with a dozen laboratory companies to finally create a cost effective yet comprehensive lab panel for SlowMyAging consultations.

The current panel involves three companies: Quest Laboratories, Genova Labs and one of a few genetic companies that you will choose from. Please click the link to Quest and Genova to create an account for yourself. Once you do this, we will place an order for you. You will be sent information and or packages with instructions and options on where to get these labs done. You will be remitting payment directly to the labs. It is important to us that you know we have no financial incentive of any kind with any lab.  For your genetics test, most people choose 23 and me. Other options are listed below.  A much more expensive but also much more comprehensive option is NA Genomics, a Boston company that performs state of the art and very in-depth genetic testing but the cost is more than ten times that of the others. All are acceptable to us. Regarding the genetic tests, you may need to email / upload your genetic testing results to us since we may not be able to receive them directly.
